6th and 7th grade artists looked at their finished masks on display and reflected on the statements "I wonder..." , "I think...", "I see...".  Reflection is an important aspect art making.

SHOWTIME

It's that time again: parent teacher connections. Carin Lilly has open room hours Wed and Thurs after school, Feb. 19 and 20.

And, also, Show Time! March is Youth Arts Month and every year there is a show at University Mall of student art work from all the local schools.  Shelburne is participating this year and we are very excited to showcase a variety of our students' work!   Due to limited space we are only able to showcase fifty or so works, and choosing is the most difficult part of all.  Congratulations to all students whose work was selected!  They will be on display Feb 16-March 8 between JCPenney and Kohls at the UMall.  Please enjoy :)

Also of note is the second showcase of the Arts and Citizenship eighth grade work.  The first trimester's "pop up" showcase was AMAZING and well attended (read: loud and crowded and so quick :), and we know a lot of the community were unable to see it. So we are planning on leaving the work up for a week after the showcase.  The showcase will take place on Tuesday, March 4, at 1:30, and the work should be up for a week or so in Art and Music hallway.
